The country has so far only one international airport that caters to the needs of visitors coming in through flight. As flights can be delayed due to weather conditions (particularly during the summer months), it is advisable to allow 24 hours before any onward connection. Confirmation of travel during festival seasons (March, April, September, October and November) should be made a minimum of two months in advance with S P Tours and Treks to ensure seats with the airline. A Bhutan Visa must be issued before purchasing Druk Air Tickets. The following stations are connected with Druk Air Flights:
– India (Kolkata, Delhi, Gaya, Guwahati, Mumbai, Bagdora)
– Nepal (Kathmandu)
– Thailand (Bangkok)
– Singapore
– Bangladesh (Dhaka)
Our national airline (Druk air) and Tashi Air flies several times a week between its destinations, but flight timings and frequency vary according to season. For detailed information about airline, schedule and tariff, please refer to its website: drukair website)
